I’m extremely passionate about short hair, and the wide variety of styles that our clients seek out. I love working with all the latest short hair trends - the funkier and edgier, the better! My work consists of razor cuts for texture and movement, clipper cutting for all types of fades, beard work, and classic pixies. I also work well with children, so don't forget to bring your short-haired kids in to see me for cuts too!

Owner & Short Hair Specialist
Katie Clifford has been creating beautiful, individualized hair since 1993 and has proudly co-owned Salon 241 since 2008. Throughout her career, she has pursued advanced education and training in New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, London, and extensively throughout Italy, continually bringing new techniques and inspiration back to her clients.
Katie has developed a true specialty and passion for short hair. From classic pixies and precision cuts to edgy, textured razor cuts, fades, clipper work, and beard grooming, she loves creating short styles that are modern, wearable, and completely customized to the person wearing them.
Her approach to color goes hand-in-hand with her cutting. Katie enjoys creating customized color that adds dimension, movement, and depth to enhance the shape and texture of each haircut. She also understands the unique challenges of fine and thinning hair and enjoys helping both men and women find styles that make their hair look and feel its best.
After more than three decades behind the chair, Katie remains passionate about continuing her education, evolving her craft, and staying inspired by what’s happening in hair around the world. Her extensive training in Italy has been especially influential, bringing a European perspective and fresh creativity to her work at Salon 241.
